Avik K. Ganguly, Esq. is a seasoned trial attorney and founding partner of Ganguly Brothers Misula PLLC in Rochester, New York. A Rochester native, Avik graduated with honors from the University at Buffalo School of Law and began his career practicing real estate, bankruptcy, and civil litigation before serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Monroe County from 2005 to 2010. As a prosecutor, he handled a broad range of criminal cases and was assigned to the Major Felony Bureau, where he tried complex assault, robbery, homicide, and firearm matters.

Today, Avik focuses his practice on complex federal and state litigation, with a significant portion dedicated to high-stakes federal criminal defense. He has represented clients in some of the most challenging and resource-intensive matters, including:

• RICO and organized-crime prosecutions
• Economic espionage and Theft of Trade Secrets cases
• Large-scale narcotics trafficking conspiracies

Over the course of his career, Avik has handled well over 100 bench and jury trials, earning a reputation as a precise, aggressive, and highly prepared litigator. His experience with complex evidentiary issues, expert witnesses, digital-forensics evidence, and federal investigative agencies distinguishes his trial practice in both criminal and civil arenas.

Avik is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of New York. He is a member of the New York State and Monroe County Bar Associations and an active member of Henrietta Christian Fellowship. He lives in the Rochester area with his wife and three children.
